The 72-year-old Victoria Principal who portrayed Pamela on “Dallas”

Due to actress Victoria Principal’s well-known portrayal of Pamela Barnes Ewing in the series, Dallas went on to become one of the most well-known primetime soap operas in television history.

Victoria was born on January 3, 1950, in Japan. Her father was a United States Air Force Sergeant stationed in Fukuoka, where she was born and spent her first few months of life. Due to her family’s repeated moves, Victoria attended 17 different schools during her formative years.

When she was five years old, she made her first appearance in a television commercial; at the time, she had no idea that acting would become her career.

It’s been said that she didn’t have a happy childhood. Her troubled mother-daughter relationship was the cause of this. In a 2012 interview with the Huffington Post, the actress said, “I wish I had known my childhood would end.” She allegedly made the statement, “I felt really fortunate,” at one point. I was never made aware of my lack of equality because of the way my parents reared me.

Victoria made the decision to become a doctor when it came time to choose a career, and she was well on her way to achieving her goal. Victoria was seriously hurt in a vehicle accident, though, just as she was about to finish her first year of college. She had to take some time off to recover, which required her to catch up on a lot of missed college schoolwork. She wasn’t in the mood to do it at the time.

She played Roy Bean’s mistress in Paul Newman’s The Lives and Times of Judge Roy Bean, one of her earliest film performances. For this performance, she received a Golden Globe nomination for best newcomer.

Victoria moved on and began a profession as a talent agent after understanding how time-consuming and challenging performing was as she received more offers.

However, around two years later, she was given the role of Pamela Barnes Ewing.

After abandoning acting to work as an agent, I was on my way to law school when a friend dropped off a Dallas script, so I read it, the actress recounted. I became aware of a change in my life once I was done. I informed casting over the phone that I would be sending someone in. She questioned who. Just enter my name, as I requested. It will be a welcome surprise. And I unannouncedly arrived by myself! “I submitted my own application!”

As a result of the success of the series, Victoria was upgraded. When Dallas first aired, she was 28 years old. She received multiple nominations, including two from Soap Opera Digest and a Golden Globe.

Victoria finally left the program in 1987. Her resignation was justified in a number of ways. “It required a lot of work to keep Pam Ewing and Victoria Principal apart. Finishing the program, she said in 1987, would “definitely seal my fate in the profession.”

Throughout her lifespan, Victoria got married twice. Her first marriage and second marriage ended in divorce. She is very close to her second husband’s son and daughter from a previous marriage despite not having any of her own.

After leaving Dallas, she founded Principal Secret, a skincare company that is currently valued at $1.5 billion annually. The actress is said to be worth $350 million.

After several years as the company’s CEO, she did make the decision to step down in order to concentrate on her nonprofit, The Victoria Principal Foundation for Thoughtful Existence. “I’m still completely committed to growing my skincare business, Principal Secret. Soon we will be entering our 27th year of business. In a 2018 TV Insider interview, she noted, “And I’ll never forget how Dallas helped me accomplish so many of my goals.”

The actress, who is 72 years old, nonetheless emits a young elegance and charm. She uses social media extensively, posting pictures of herself, the animals she helps, and even older ones from when she was filming the program that had such a significant influence on her life
